FoBP Tree Tour

Joseph Bryan Park Tree Tour

Our walking tour visits more than two dozen trees within a short walking distance of Shelter #1. There is a map on the back of the tour which shows the location of each tree. There are also written walking instructions to help you find your way. At each tree you will find a tag with the tree’s scientific name (first genus, then species, in Latin), its common name and a Quick Read code which enables a participant to obtain additional information.

Here’s how to print out our Tree Tour in booklet form. Set your printer to 1) print on both sides of letter size paper 2) print in landscape orientation and  3) have pages flip on the short edge.

If your printer doesn’t have these capabilities, no worries.  You can  print out the pages on one side of letter size paper. Cut the pages in half. (You’ll see where.) Simply put them in order.

The Tree Tour itself starts at Shelter 1 near the tall bulletin board nearest the restrooms.  Look for green ID tags, all about 5 feet up the trunks of the trees you’ll read about  in our booklet. Have fun! You just might learn something. We have!
