Goats in Bryan Park!

November 17, 2015: Rex Springston has written an article about Kristi’s goats, including their work in Bryan Park, for the Richmond Times Dispatch.  You can read it here! http://www.richmond.com/news/article_6118072f-387a-550b-a365-3257d77d2baf.html

October 23, 2015 :Having munched their way through poison ivy, Japanese Stiltgrass, English ivy and other undesirable plants, the goats of Bright Hope Farm and Apiary have cleared an area near the Park’s Nature Center.  From there they have been moved to the meadow where they will help conquer an invasion of Japanese Hops and other alien invasive plants.  You are welcome to come visit them during their week or two long assignment.  The meadow is beside the soccer fields behind the berm.  You will find educational signs nearby.  You can also visit the Bright Hope Farm and Apiary Facebook page to find out more!  https://www.facebook.com/BrightHopeFarm  This is a project of Friends of Bryan Park as we continue our mission to protect and improve our beloved park.
